Appeal following roadside altercation Woodbury Common
We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a roadside altercation along the B3179 towards Woodbury Village on Woodbury Common in East Devon.
It has been reported that on Saturday 5 September at around 8pm a van aggressively drove close behind a car which pulled in to let the van pass.
The male driver of van stopped and approached the car. As it began to move away the van driver is said to have lent into the car and grabbed the female driver’s arm and clung on to the vehicle while it was in motion. He sustained minor injuries.
A local man in his 40s has since been arrested on suspicion of two counts of stalking involving fear of violence and criminal damage to a property – value under £5,000. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Investigating officers are keen to hear from those who may have witnessed the incident.
