UPDATE | New charges following death of Danny Cahalane in Plymouth

Six people have been charged with murder following the death of a man in Plymouth.

Danny Cahalane, from Plymouth, was taken to hospital following an alleged serious assault at a property in Lipson Road, at around 3.55am on Friday 21 February.

Mr Cahalane, 38, passed away in hospital on Saturday 3 May despite the best efforts of medical professionals.

Following Mr Cahalane’s death, the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the following additional charges:

•             Israel Augustus, 25, of Pulford Road in London, charged with murder.

•             Abdul-Rasheed Adedoja, 22, of North Circular Road, Neasden, London, charged with murder.

•             Ramarnee Bakas-Sithole, 22, of Junction Road, London, charged with murder.

•             Brian Kalemba, 22, of Eastbury Square, Barking, London, charged with murder.

•             Isanah Sungum, 21 of Sterling Way, Edmonton, London, charged with murder.

•             Paris Wilson, 34, of The Quay, Plymouth, charged with murder.

All six will appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 3 June. 

Three other suspects have also previously been charged with other offences in connection to the alleged incident and have already appeared in court.
