Former police officer to appear in court
A former serving Devon and Cornwall Police Officer will appear at Taunton Magistrates Court on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Former PC James Stillman, aged 31 from Chard in Somerset, is charged with misconduct in public office.
Stillman has already appeared in court on September 13, 2025, charged with sexual assault on a female and misconduct in public office.
This further charge of misconduct in a public office relates to a different female victim.
All the offences relate to his time as a Devon and Cornwall Police officer. Stillman has also previously served as a Special Constable with Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
Stillman was arrested immediately when offences were reported to police and was suspended from duty following his initial arrest.
