Appeal following fires on Exmoor

Police investigating three fires in the West Anstey area of Exmoor are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

The fire service reported that they attended three incidents in the area, one on Sunday 9 March at around 8.10pm and two on Monday 10 March at around 12.30pm and 6.30pm.

It is thought that the fires may have been started deliberately

Officers are calling for any information about the incidents.

Sergeant Robert Brown, Neighbourhood Team Leader for South Molton, said: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information or any dashcam footage from the area around those times that may assist the investigation.

“Members of the public may see a heightened police presence in the area as our enquiries continue.

“If anyone has any information, they can approach our officers or alternatively contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log number 697 of 10/3/25.”
