We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision that occurred in Plymouth.

We were called to a serious collision on Tothill Avenue, Plymouth, at around 10pm on Wednesday 4 February, which involved a pedestrian and white Audi car, which left the scene.

The pedestrian, a local man in his 60s, suffered serious, potentially life changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene. It was reopened at 9am on Thursday 5 February.

Following enquiries, the car was located nearby.
