Plymouth man to face sexual offence charges in court

A 70-year-old man from Plymouth is due in court next month accused of sexual offences over a 27-year period.

Alan Harris, of Thorn Park, has been summonsed before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on 23 September to face a total of 20 charges.

They include indecent assault and sexual assault on males over 16, rape, and sexual assault on a female over 16.

The charges relate to incidents reported to have taken place in Plymouth between 1988 and 2015, involving nine people.
