Serious injury collision, Plymouth

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Plymouth city centre.

Officers were called shortly before 11.15am on Monday 10 June to Coburg Street where a collision had taken place at a pedestrian crossing near to the James Street junction.

The pedestrian, a 19-year-old woman from the Launceston area, was taken to Derriford Hospital where she is being treated for injuries which are considered to be life-threatening. The driver, a man in his 40s from the Plymouth area, was uninjured.
