Arrest following indecent exposures in Falmouth and Helston

Officers investigating a series of indecent exposures in the Falmouth and Helston areas have made an arrest.

Between May and December 2025 police received eight reports of a male exposing himself to women out walking or running.

The incidents have taken place in an alleyway behind Falmouth Fire Station, Tregoniggie Woods, Bickland Water Road in Falmouth, and near to the River Cober in Helston.

A 16-year-old local boy has now been arrested in connection with the incidents and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Sector Inspector Rick Milburn said: “We appreciate that these incidents have been causing concern within the communities around Falmouth and Helston.

“Officers have investigated each report leading to a suspect being identified and an arrest being made today by the Falmouth and Helston Police Neighbourhood Team.

“The lengthy and detailed investigation has been carried out in conjunction with our local partner agencies and we’d like to thank them for their support.

“We want people to feel safe where they live and encourage anyone who has seen any suspicious or inappropriate behaviour to report it via 101 or our website or 999 in case of an emergency.”

Anybody with information which could support the ongoing investigation is asked to report it via 50250247276
