UPDATE | Burglary and fraud, Exeter

0224.25 Picture 1.jpg

We are continuing to investigate a report of burglary and fraud in Exeter and have released a picture of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the incidents.

It was reported that a woman’s purse containing bank cards, and a quantity of cash was stolen from a property in the Heavitree area of Exeter between 4pm and 5pm on Friday 14 March.

One of the cards was used later to withdraw cash from the woman’s bank account.

Officers investigating the incident would like to identify the man pictured as they believe they may be able to assist with their enquiries.

We are aware that the quality of the image is low, however at this time this is the only image we have and hope that the public may still be able to assist.

We have located a woman we wanted to speak to in connection with this investigation and she has been eliminated from enquiries with no offences identified.

This follows a photo appeal issued by the force on Tuesday 16 April.

Call police with information on 101, or via our website here, quoting reference number 50250064721.
