APPEAL | Serious collision, Plymouth

We were notified at around 5.50pm yesterday, Wednesday 7 may, to reports of a collision involving a bicycle and a white Transit van on Kings Road in Devonport, Plymouth.

The cyclist, a boy in his teens, sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to Derriford Hospital by ambulance. He has since been transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital. His next of kin have been informed.

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team and local response officers attended the scene, which was by the entrance to Richmond Walk car park.

Following a thorough examination the road was re-opened last night.
