Appeal following road-rage assault in Plymouth
Police are appealing for information after a driver was assaulted during a road-rage incident in Plymouth.
The incident happened on Exeter Street at around 4.30pm on 29th July when a motorist was confronted and assaulted during heavy traffic.
The victim was driving along Exeter Street towards Plymouth in the left-hand lane with the intention of turning into Bretonside and continued along Exeter Street. The incident occurred at the junction with Charles Church roundabout.
A man then approached the driver's vehicle and challenged him about his driving. It is alleged that the man repeatedly swore at the victim before leaning into the vehicle and headbutting the driver.
The victim sustained injuries including swelling to his head and a laceration to the bridge of his nose.
Investigating officers have carried out a number of enquiries and are now appealing to the public for help to identify the man pictured as they may be able to assist with enquiries.
