Robbery, Newquay

Police investigating reports of a robbery in Newquay, on Sunday 23 April are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A man entered a commercial premises on East Street at about 8pm, making threats and demanding money.

The male member of staff reported being threatened with a knife before the suspect left the premises with a significant amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6ft 2in tall, of slim build. He was dressed all in black with a black windbreaker with Nike in small letters on the chest. He also wore a blue face mask.

It is thought the suspect headed towards the town centre and he may have gone up Grosvenor Avenue.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have information that would help the investigation.
