Serious collision, A38 Glynn Valley

A man in his 50s has died following a collision on the A38 at Glynn Valley which happened at around 12.30pm on Sunday 28 April.

Police, Fire, and Ambulance Services, assisted by the Cornwall Air Ambulance, attended the scene - between Bodmin Parkway train station and The Halfway House.

Sadly, the driver of a silver Honda Jazz hatchback was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Three people, who were travelling in a red Nissan Navara pick-up, were taken to Treliske Hospital to be treated for their injuries, which were believed to be minor. A female passenger was taken to Derriford Hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team attended the incident and carried out a detailed investigation of the scene.
