Driver sought after man seriously hurt in Plymouth hit-and-run

Police are seeking information after a hit-and-run collision in Plymouth which left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

A man was struck by a vehicle as he crossed Tamerton Foliot Road around 3.45am on Sunday 19 March.

The vehicle, described as a dark-coloured SUV, failed to stop at the scene and left in the direction of Tamerton Foliot.

The casualty, in his 30s and from Plymouth, managed to flag down another motorist who took him to hospital.

He sustained severe bruising, a broken ankle and leg injuries, and required stitches in his hand.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and seeking the vehicle involved.

They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone in the area who may have relevant CCTV or doorbell footage or any driver who may have captured the incident on dashcam.
