Appeal to identify van driver following death of cyclist in Broadwoodwidger
We are seeking the assistance of the public to identify the driver of the van pictured following the death of a cyclist in Broadwoodwidger.
Officers were called at around 10.35am on Tuesday 11 August following a report of a cyclist found off his bike at the side of the road on the road into Broadwoodwidger from the direction of the A30.
Sadly, despite resuscitation efforts, a local man in his 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to identify the driver of the van pictured as it is believed that they may have witnessed the cyclist’s movements prior to him coming off his bike and may as a result be able to assist the investigation.
