Serious Assault, Plymouth

Police are currently investigating a serious assault which happened in the early hours of Sunday 14 January 2024.

The incident was reported to have happened between midnight and 12.30am on Derry’s Cross roundabout, between Revolutions bar and Grosvenor Casino.

The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained a broken ankle as a result of an assault.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time, particularly those who were queuing to get into Revolutions at around 12.20am as the assault would have happened in their line of vision.

A 23-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
