Chief Constable’s Foundation spreads Christmas cheer in Plymouth
There is still time to book tickets for a fantastic festive concert in aid of the Chief Constable’s chosen charity.
The Legacy Choir, with special guests Italia Conti Associates and ex members of the Plymouth Area Police Choir, will perform the Spirit of Christmas Concert on the evening of Wednesday 17 December at the Plymouth Methodist Central Hall in Eastlake Street.
The magical concert is taking place to raise money for Luna’s Fund, the wonderful Plymouth-based charity which offers baby loss support for bereaved families. Luna’s Fund has been chosen as the Devon & Cornwall Police Chief Constable’s Foundation charity for this year.
Luna's Fund provides compassionate practical and emotional support to bereaved parents and families after the loss of their baby before, during or after birth by offering a choice of practical services that they can access immediately upon leaving the hospital.
Plymouth Police Commander Chief Superintendent Matt Longman, who will be attending the special event, said: “This promises to be a fantastic evening for a really good cause and we want as many people as possible to come along and enjoy the concert. Please don’t delay – book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.”

Audience members are asked to arrive at the concert venue from 6:30pm for a 7pm start. Local dignitaries and special guests will be at the event, along with police officers. Police Dog mascot Bravo is also due to make an appearance earlier in the day to meet local Primary School pupils and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. The youth carol services take place at 10am and 1pm on 17 December at the same venue – Plymouth Methodist Central Hall.
