Serious injury collision, Hayle

We are investigating a serious injury road traffic collision in Hayle at the weekend and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called at around 8.10am on Saturday 23 August, to a two-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the B3301 at Griggs Hill, Hayle.

The incident involved a black BMW and a Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 motorcycle. The rider of the bike, a 52-year-old local man sustained potentially life-changing injuries as a result of the collision.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Police, fire, ambulance and air ambulance attended the scene, and the road was closed whilst an investigation took place.
