Serious injury road traffic collision, Barnstaple

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision near Barnstaple.

The single vehicle collision involving a grey VW Polo took place at Mount Sandford Road, Landkey, at around 2.25am on Saturday 7 December.

Four occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital.  An 18-year-old man and a 27-year-old man sustained serious injuries, while a 22-year-old man sustained injuries which are believed to be life threatening.  A 17-year-old boy suffered minor injuries. All those involved are from the local area.

The road was closed for around nine hours while an investigation was carried out at the scene.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
