Report of alleged serious assault being investigated in Exeter
We are investigating a report of an alleged serious assault in Exeter and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to reports, at around 5.35pm on Wednesday 5 August, of a male who was said to be carrying a knife while running down Church Street, Exeter, and claiming to have seriously assaulted a person.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident as no victim has been identified.
A 17-year-old male from Topsham has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, possessing a bladed article in a public place and theft.
