Fatal road traffic collision, St Ewe, near St Austell

We are investigating a fatal road traffic collision near St Austell and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a tractor and trailer on an unclassified road close to St Ewe, near St Austell, at around 10.10pm on Friday 11 September 2026.

Emergency Services attended the scene.

The driver of the tractor, a local man in his 20s, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Officers would like to thank members of the public for their patience while the road remained closed while an examination of the scene was carried out.

It was handed over to highways at around 3.50pm on Saturday 12 September, after vehicle recovery had been completed.

The circumstances of the collision continue to be investigated.
