Pedestrian dies following Plymouth collision
A pedestrian aged in his 80s has died in hospital following a collision with a motorcycle in Plymouth on Monday 5 February.
Emergency services were called to Beacon Park Road at around 6.20pm.
The rider of the motorcycle was reported to have left the scene before police arrived.
Officers subsequently arrested a Plymouth man aged in his 20s on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and failing to report a collision. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. Police have been notified that the man died in hospital on Wednesday 7 February. His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
