Update following road traffic collision involving car and a pedestrian in Falmouth

A pedestrian who was hospitalised following a road traffic collision in Falmouth has sadly passed away.

Officers were called to Dracaena Avenue in Falmouth at around 7.50am on Wednesday 21 January to a report of the collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian – a local 18-year-old – was taken to hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

Tragically, she passed away in hospital on 11 February.

Her next of kin are aware and are being supported by officers.

As part of the investigation, we are continuing to appeal for anybody with any relevant information and dash-cam footage to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 122 of the 21 January 2026.
