Criminal damage to cars, Truro

We are appealing for digital images and footage following a number of reports of criminal damage to residents' cars in the Malabar area of Truro.

Numerous incidents have been reported to police over the last five months from 24th April through to Sunday 7th September 2025.

Many of the incidents included paintwork to cars being damaged and residents having their car tyres slashed.

Neighbourhood Beat Manager PC Wilson said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into these reports as part of our investigation. This has resulted in a 39-year-old man from Truro being arrested in connection to the incidents. He has been released on police bail with several conditions.”

“We are encouraging anyone in the local area in and around Richards Crescent who may have digital images or footage of the criminal damage to their motor vehicles to send us their material.

“We are keen to see any CCTV or doorbell footage of any suspicious movements in the early hours of the morning over the last six months.”
