UPDATE | Family tribute following fatal collision in Torquay
The family of a man who died following a collision in Torquay has paid tribute to him.
Jonathan Elliott, 62, from Torquay sadly passed away at Derriford Hospital on 7 November, following a collision involving a black Hyundai Getz, a silver Honda Jazz and a pedestrian, which happened on the forecourt of Sainsbury’s filling station at The Willows in Torquay on Friday 1 November.
Jonathan’s family said: “Jon Elliott, 62 years old, was loved dearly by his family and local community. He was struck by a vehicle on November 1st at Sainsburys in Torquay and sadly died on the 7 November at Derriford Hospital.
“At this time, the family ask for privacy whilst they come to terms with the loss of such a large loving character, they pay tribute to such a wonderful son, brother, husband, dad and grandad.”
Any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, but who may have seen the collision or have dashcam footage, are asked to contact police via the force website or by calling 101, quoting log 593 of 1/11/24.
