Man charged after fire in Barnstaple
Officers have charged a man following a fire in Barnstaple at the weekend.
At around 8.45pm on Sunday 4 October a fire was reported at the CEX store in High Street.
The fire caused extensive damage to the shop.
Johnathan Grant, 45, of Victoria Road, Barnstaple, was arrested and subsequently charged with arson.
He appeared at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on 6 October and was remanded in custody until a further hearing at Exeter Crown Court on 5 November.
