Appeal following assault in Plymouth
We are appealing for witnesses and relevant footage following an assault in Plymouth.
Between 1.10am and 1.25am on Monday 13 July a verbal disagreement took place near to the taxi rank at the Barbican.
Following the disagreement a man had a drink thrown over him and was then repeatedly punched, causing him to fall to the ground.
The victim was then struck numerous times on the ground before getting back to his feet.
He was then chased a short distance before being assaulted again.
The victim was taken to hospital with fractures to the right eye.
Two local men aged in their 50s and 20s were arrested nearby on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. They have been released on Police bail.
