Burglary, Bideford

Police are appealing for information after treasured jewellery was taken during a burglary at a Bideford home.

The owner contacted police on 21 July after noticing that the items had gone missing from the property in East The Water.

Now officers are asking the public to look out for the jewellery which holds high sentimental value for the female owner.

Among the items stolen were:

  • A small gold heart pendant on a gold chain.
  • A pair of square cufflinks with SBAS in dark blue and gold lettering.
  • A pair of cufflinks with a white background and red and gold detail.
  • A pair of gold cufflinks with a ‘ray of sunshine’ pattern.
  • Five or six display boxes of commemorative coins [at least five in each].
  • Three Silver Jubilee £5 coins.
  • A men’s Fossil watch with a dark blue face and silver Roman numerals.
  • A silver necklace carrying a single pearl pendant.
  • A silver horseshoe broach with a horse head in the centre.
  • A 12-piece gold plated cutlery set, possibly in a brown case with an inscribed gold plate inside the lid.

Police are appealing for information and are keen to speak to any individuals or second hand dealers who may have been offered any of the items for sale.
