Witnesses sought after aggravated burglary, Plymouth

Detectives are seeking witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Plymouth which left a man with serious injuries.

A group of three or four men forced their way into a flat in Wolsdon Street around 10.40pm on Monday 7 October.

The men, wearing masks and hoodies, then assaulted a man inside as he tried to stop them. He was punched repeatedly in the face by one of the suspects.

They then fled the property, stealing a quantity of cash and a pair of purple Nike TN Fireberry trainers worth around £100.

The victim, in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment for a shoulder injury and serious facial injuries.

Detectives are investigating and appealing to the public for information. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured the suspects on CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcam.

It is believed they walked along Anstis Street prior to the attack and fled in the same direction.

Anyone who may be able to help with the investigation can report information online or by telephone on 101, quoting crime reference 50240254328.

Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111, or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
