Serious collision, A393, near Ponsanooth

We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision on the A393 between Lanner and Ponsanooth, Cornwall.

Officers were called to the incident soon after 2pm on Saturday 7 June, where it was reported that a collision had occurred involving two vehicles, a silver Toyota and a blue Hyundai.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a woman from the Falmouth area was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske where she was treated for serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Three other people sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public and local residents for their patience whilst the road was closed. The road closure was handed over to highways at around 4.40pm.
