APPEAL | Robbery, Plymouth

Detectives are appealing for information and footage following a knifepoint robbery in Plymouth.

Police were called at 3.45am on Wednesday 29 October following reports of a man in possession of a knife in the street at Kit Hill Crescent in Barne Barton.

The suspect was making threats to harm another man with the knife.

He is believed to have approached a car, entered into dialogue with an occupant of the car, stolen vehicle keys and left the scene.

No-one was injured in the incident.

A man in his 40s from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, attempted robbery and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

Investigating officers are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with information or footage to come forward.

Detective Constable Emily Tidy said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and a man remains in police custody.

“We are urging any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. We are particularly asking residents in the area to check their CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcams for any suspicious activity between 3.15am and 4am today.

“If you live in the area or were driving through and saw anything suspicious then we would urge you to please contact us.”
