APPEAL | Serious assault, Plymouth
We are appealing for witnesses and relevant footage following a disturbance involving a number of individuals in Plymouth.
Officers were called to the Mildmay Street area of the city at around 2.50pm on Saturday 1 November following a report a male had suffered a stab wound to the chest – possibly from a screwdriver.
It was reported the man had been stabbed following an incident in Hospital Road during which a number of people were present and a sword was also brandished.
Armed officers were deployed and arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of attempted murder. He has since been released on police bail.
A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and has also been released on police bail.
A man in his 20s has today, Monday 3 November, been arrested on suspicion on affray. He remains in police custody at this time.
Officers were able to recover a sword from inside a property. All individuals involved are believed to be known to each other.
The man who was stabbed was taken to hospital following the incident. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
