Plymouth man jailed following seizure of drugs and weapons

A man appeared at Plymouth Crown Court on Friday 12 June and been sentenced for supplying class A and B drugs and possession of offensive weapons.
Back in February this year, Ryan Board, 30, from Rochford Cresent, pleaded guilty to six offences following an investigation by the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU), supported by Devon and Cornwall Police.
When a warrant was executed at Board’s address, officers seized more than 530 grams of cocaine, 3.8 kilos of ketamine, 245 grams of cannabis and £34,660 in bundled cash.
Today, Board was sentenced to two years and eight months for:
- Possession with intent to supply cocaine
- Possession with intent to supply ketamine
- Possession with intent to supply cannabis
- Possessing criminal property (£33,500 cash)
- Possession of an offensive weapon in private place, namely a knuckleduster
- Possession of an offensive weapon in private place, namely a telescopic truncheon
DI Pete Walker from SWROCU said: “The seizure of drugs with a potential street value of in excess of £60,000 along with thousands of pounds in cash, demonstrates that Board was heavily involved in serious criminality which causes real harm to our communities. In addition, we recovered two weapons which show the very real threat criminals involved in drug supply can pose.
“People living in our towns who seek to profit from illegal activity can expect to be pursued by the police and brought before the court.”
