Police in Torquay have organised another pop up community surgery this week when the public can meet local officers and ask any questions they may have.

Visitors to the event on Thursday 16 April can also pick up some crime prevention freebies and advice.

Members of the local Neighbourhood Police Teams will be at the old O2 mobile phone shop at 77 Union Street between 10am and 1pm to chat to people face to face.

Torquay Neighbourhood Inspector Rob Harvey explained: “Please take this opportunity and come along and speak to officers from across the ward areas of Torquay. The Neighbourhood Police Team are always looking at ways to be more visible and accessible to our communities. We would like to thank our partners at Torbay Council for supporting us in making these events possible.

“This is a great opportunity to speak to our officers about any local concerns or issues you may have and we will also have some crime prevention freebies to give away. We look forward to arranging more community events in the coming months.”

Torquay is one of Devon & Cornwall Police’s designated Hotspot policing areas which has received Home Office funding and deployed extra high visibility foot patrols to tackle ASB and increase public engagement and confidence.
