Robbery, Barnstaple
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery which occurred last night, 30 October.
The incident took place between 8pm – 8.20pm at the junction of Queen Street and Mallets Lane, outside Barum takeaway.
It was reported that a group of people assaulted a member of the public including throwing traffic cones and stole the man’s bicycle. He was taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution.
Two boys, aged 13 and 14, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody.
Enquiries remain ongoing to identify the others involved in the incident.
We know that there were several members of the public in the area at the time and we are appealing for them to come forward with any information which may assist our investigation.
