UPDATE | Appeal following A392 collision near Newquay

We have been informed that a woman who sustained serious injuries in a road traffic collision near Newquay this week has died.

We are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward following the collision on the A392 at White Acres.

The emergency services were called at around 9.50am on Wednesday 26 November following a report of the collision involving a red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB tractor.

As a result of the collision, a local woman in her 80s was airlifted to Derriford Hospital having suffered serious injuries. We were informed that she died on Thursday.

The road was reopened by 2.15pm on Wednesday after collision investigators examined the scene and the vehicle was recovered. 

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident, or anybody with relevant dash-cam footage to get in touch via 101 or our website quoting reference 50250303279.
