Appeal following serious collision, Bovey Tracey

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision in Bovey Tracey on Thursday 5 March.

Officers were called at around 1.20pm to Old Orchard at the junction with Le Molay-Littry Way, Bovey Tracey.

It was reported that a collision had occurred involved a grey Dacia Duster and a pedal cycle. The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the car left the scene prior to police arrival and was later located.

A woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. She has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.
