Fatal collision, Newquay
Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A3059 near Newquay.
It was reported at around 12.25am on Sunday 24 August that a two-vehicle road traffic collision had occurred on the A3059 near to Newquay, which involved a white 110cc moped and a red single decker bus.
As a result of the collision the 22-year-old male rider of the moped who was from the Newquay area was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 33-year-old driver of the bus from the St Austell area was uninjured.
The road was closed while officers carried out an examination of the scene. The closures were handed over to highways at around 3.45am.
