Officers from Plymouth have seized a number of items of jewellery and are seeking to locate the owners.

Detective Sergeant Paula Tucker said: “We are seeking to reunite the owners of the items pictured, which we believe may have been stolen from residential houses across Plymouth and Cornwall.

“The items were discovered while searching a property in Plymouth in February.

“The value of each item is irrelevant, as we know it’s not the monetary amount which effects victims the most.

“If you recognise the items pictured, please contact us quoting reference number 50250027811.”

Derek Bates, aged 59 and of Whitleigh Avenue, Plymouth, has been charged with three counts of burglary.

The alleged incidents were reported to have taken place at residential properties across Cornwall and in Plymouth in February 2025.

Bates will appear before Plymouth Crown Court on 27th March 2025.
