Appeal following assault in Newton Abbot
We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Newton Abbot.
Between 9pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday 11 August near to McDonald’s and Sainsbury’s at Penn Inn a woman was approached by another woman in a car.
The woman in the car then exited her vehicle and made accusations towards the victim.
The victim then walked away before the suspect approached her from behind, pulled her hair, and punched and kicked the victim causing various minor injuries.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone present at the time, in particular a witness who stepped in to stop the assault.
The witness is described as a white male in his mid-30s who was carrying a child on his shoulders.
