Assault, Plymouth

We are investigating a report of assault in Plymouth on Saturday 2 August and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

It was reported that the victim, a man in his 20s, was assaulted by four unknown males at around 1.30am on Saturday 2 August on Derry’s Cross roundabout, outside Timber Vaults, near a burger van.

The victim sustained head and facial injuries and a serious concussion after he had tried to intervene when a female couple were being harassed. He was treated in hospital and later discharged.

He has described the four unknown males as white, of slim build, aged between 15 and 17 years old and around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall.

He said one had brown curly hair and all four were wearing tracksuits, with one of them being a grey tracksuit.
