Serious assault, Holsworthy

Police are appealing for eyewitnesses following an assault in Holsworthy.

Officers were called at around 1.15am on Sunday 17 November to a young farmers’ event at the Holsworthy Memorial Hall.

It was reported that an assault had occurred which resulted in a 19-year-old man being knocked unconscious. He was taken to hospital and treated for a fractured skull.

A 34-year-old man from Ashwater was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Investigating officers are keen to speak to anybody present who directly witnessed the incident, who has not yet spoken to police.
