Fatal collision, Paignton
Police were called at 1:36am on Sunday 8 October 2023 following reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Dartmouth Road in Paignton.
The collision involved a parked and unattended VW Van and a Hyundai i20. As a result of the collision and a subsequent car fire, the driver of the Hyundai, a man in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Police thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene and closed the road for a number of hours.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision or may have dash cam footage to make contact on 101 or via our website and quoting Log 0078 of 8th October 2023.
