Appeal following fatal road traffic collision near Ashburton
We are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision near Ashburton.
Officers were called at 3.45pm on Tuesday 27 January following a report of a single vehicle collision on the unnamed road between Buckfastleigh and Ashburton, just prior to Gages Farm.
A green Subaru Legacy Outback was located in the field adjacent to the road.
Sadly, the driver of the vehicle, believed to be a local man in his 30s, was declared deceased at the scene.
Roads Policing Officers and local officers attended the scene and conducted a thorough investigation.
The road was closed for several hours whilst the investigation took place.
Police would like to thank members of the public for their understanding and patience.
Anybody who saw a green Subaru Legacy Outback in the area before the collision, or in the days prior, is asked to contact us on 101 or via our website quoting log 555 of 27 January. Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with relevant dash-cam or CCTV footage.
