Pedestrian seriously hurt in Exeter collision

Officers are seeking information and dashcam footage after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Exeter.

The incident happened around 4.50pm on Tuesday 28 November when a Vauxhall Astra was in collision with the woman at the junction of Market Street and South Street.

The woman in her 60s from Exeter sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Market Street was closed for around four-and-a-half hours for scene investigation work to take place.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and asking for witnesses to contact them. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the incident.
