Man arrested at Paignton address after police find large amount of suspected drugs

Our busy Paignton Neighbourhood Police Team have executed another successful drugs warrant this week.  

The officers, supported by colleagues from the South Devon Neighbourhood Support Team, carried out a search at an address in the town on Wednesday 8 July.

Paignton Sector Inspector Pete Giesens said: “Suspected drugs with an estimated street value of thousands of pounds were seized. Officers also seized a number of items believed to have been purchased using proceeds of crime, which will form part of our ongoing investigation.

“A man was arrested on suspicion of Possession With Intent to Supply controlled drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. He was taken into police custody before being released on bail. Our enquiries are continuing.

“Information from the public continues to make a real difference so, if you have concerns about suspected drug activity in your community, please let us know. Together, we are making Paignton a safer place.”
