Residents and shoppers in Torquay are invited to a new community drop-in surgery to meet local police officers and ask any questions they may have.

The local neighbourhood police team is pleased to reveal they will be taking over the old O2 mobile phone shop at 77 Union Street on Wednesday 3 December between 11am and 2pm.

Torquay Inspector Rob Harvey explained: “The Torquay Neighbourhood Police Team are always looking at different ways to be more visible and accessible to the good people of Torquay - especially in the town centre.

“More information will be confirmed soon and we plan to have some specific crime prevention items to give away to visitors. This first day is a trial run for us and we hope to look at repeating the community drop in events over the coming months.

“Finally, a thank you to our partners at Torbay Council for supporting us in making this possible – we look forward to meeting people on Wednesday 3 December.”

Staff representing ward areas right across Torquay will be present on the day to hear any issues or concerns visitors may have about their local area.
