Appeal after report of harassment in Tiverton
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in Tiverton on Sunday 4 February.
Officers were informed of reports that a man had been harassing a woman on Bridge Street between 9am and 12.30pm.
Police would particularly like to speak to a woman who stepped in and accompanied the victim to the police station before going on towards Tesco, in Blundell’s Road.
A man in his 40s from Tiverton was arrested on suspicion of common assault and stalking without fear. He has been released on bail, to return on Tuesday 19 March, pending further enquiries.
