Burglary, Barnstaple

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary at a jewellery shop in Barnstaple.

The break-in took place at a shop on Boutport Street at around 6.45pm on Wednesday 5 March.

It is believed the burglary was carried out by one male suspect who was seen fleeing the area, but has yet to be located.  

Gold jewellery worth several thousands of pounds was stolen.

Officers investigating the incident are looking for anyone with any information around the matter and also want to warn other local business that there are stolen goods which may be sold on in coming days.
