Two people hurt in motorcycle collision, Connor Downs

Officers are seeking witnesses and information after two people were injured in a motorcycle collision on Connor Downs, Cornwall.

Emergency services were called to Gwinear Road at around 2.45pm on Sunday 16 August following a collision involving a black Yamaha motor tricycle.

The vehicle left the carriageway and came to rest in a nearby field.

The rider, a man in his 60s, sustained serious injuries and remains in a critical condition at Derriford Hospital.

The passenger, a teenage girl, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Treliske Hospital.

Both are from the Camborne area.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team closed the road for three-and-a-half hours for investigative work.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage.
